The MWC Networking Brunch monthly program is a hospitality event at the Islamic Resource Center that provides opportunities for people of all socio/cultural/faith backgrounds to connect, network and make new friends. Our ever-popular brunches include a delicious buffet and an interesting topic or activity, covering a myriad of interests from cooking, art, politics, environment, health, career and technology.
The brunches are designed to enhance cultural awareness by inviting the public to participate in programs that are of interest to both Muslim and the broader community. Both men and women are welcome. An openness for listening and sharing opinions in the Q & A discussions is encouraged.
Sharing a meal with others taps our elemental need for sustenance and the joy of celebration. We do this with friends and family. With people we have never met, it decreases barriers within a friendly, cheerful, relaxed setting. This is often how lasting memories and friendships are forged.
