Campaign Overview Statement
Connecting Hearts and Strengthening Communities
In fall 2024, the Muslim Women's Coalition (MWC) rebranded to reflect its expanded regional reach and broader advocacy mission. Formerly the Milwaukee Muslim Women's Coalition, MWC has grown over its 30-year history into a regional leader promoting religious tolerance, empowering women, and fostering understanding.
As part of this transformation, MWC launched the Connecting Hearts, Strengthening Communities campaign, funded by the United Way Racial Equity Fund. This initiative celebrates Muslim women and girls through social media, billboards, and digital ads, challenging stereotypes and showcasing their vital contributions to Milwaukee's diverse social fabric.
Campaign Outreach
This rebranding campaign reaffirms MWC's commitment to building connections, empowering women, and strengthening communities across the region.
"Muslim women deserve to be seen as the strong, dynamic individuals they are. Our campaign seeks to reshape how Muslim women and girls are portrayed, helping to build a community where everyone is respected and valued."
