Our Peaceful Home
We are committed to supporting and empowering survivors within our community. MWC’s "Our Peaceful Home" program addresses domestic abuse and empowers Muslim individuals and families. Our culturally specific family support services include comprehensive resources such as culturally informed education, safety planning, emergency housing, survivor advocacy, and access to qualified interpreters.
Welcoming Muslim Immigrants
The Muslim Women’s Coalition gives new Muslim immigrants and refugees the support they need to thrive in Wisconsin. Our programs include our “Be a Buddy Program” for Afghan children and teens, Afghan women’s sewing lab and support circle, and African and Asian Spiritual Connection Club at South Division High School.
Muslim and New to Milwaukee
The Muslim Women’s Coalition hosts visitors from around the world interested in Muslim life in Wisconsin. We welcome the U.S. Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program, foreign embassies, and other civil society organizations from around the world.
Youth Mentorship Programs
We help youth acquire skills and gain experiences that enhance their ability to thrive. Our youth programs include summer empowerment camps, field trips, community service projects, art, STEM workshops, and more.
Early Learners and Children Programs
We host summer-long reading and activity camps for elementary students. Children build a strong sense of their cultural heritage by engaging with our vast collection of children’s books about Islam and Muslims.
