Owning Our Narrative

Muslim Women’s Coalition (MWC) is dedicated to providing an accurate understanding of Islam and Muslim women through advocacy, outreach and programming for nearly three decades. We are a crucial resource for schools, universities, law enforcement agencies, healthcare centers, religious establishments and the media.

The Islamic Resource Center library is an essential destination for educational materials and resources to schools, universities, businesses, law enforcement agencies, healthcare centers, religious establishments, community organizations and the media, providing a unique and essential asset to our city and state.

Wisconsin Muslim Journal (WMJ), a bi-weekly online publication and the annual Milwaukee Muslim Film Festival (MMFF) were developed as a way to give Muslims agency within mainstream media and the arts. The stories in WMJ and films featured in the MMFF celebrate the rich cultural diversity and contributions of Muslims.
