Children's Storytime and Activities
All programs are held at the Islamic Resource Center every Monday and Wednesday, from June 22 to August 5.
Registration is REQUIRED for each activity, as space is limited. Registration for all events begins at 10:00 on the Monday prior.

Storytime:
Wednesdays at 10:30 AM (ages 3–6)

Week 2: Everything is Amazing!
Wednesday, July 1:
Activity: Movie and Popcorn Day!
Time Hoppers Movie and Popcorn! We will enjoy the Time Hoppers movie and some delicious popcorn.
Week 3: Creations in the Sky
Monday, July 6:
Activity: Milwaukee Public Museum presents Get Wild in Wisconsin!
Milwaukee Public Museum presents Wild in Wisconsin. Our friends from MPM will share activities and information about Wisconsin animals.
Wednesday, July 8:
Activity: Night Flyers!

We will learn about Allah’s creations that fly in the night with some great hands-on experiments.
*This program will be best for kids entering grades 3 and older.
Week 4: Creations on the Earth
Monday, July 13:
Activity: Wehr Nature Center presents “Friends Underfoot.”

Wehr Nature Center presents “Friends Underfoot.” We will learn about His creations on the Earth that we walk over every day and do some projects as well.
Wednesday, July 15:
Activity: Schlitz Audubon Nature Center Reptiles!
Our friends from the Schlitz Audubon Nature Center will help us learn about reptiles - what they eat, how they live, and how we can help protect them! Live animals!
Week 5: Caring for His Creations
Monday, July 20:
Activity: Pet Friends!
Our friends from HAWS (Humane Animal Welfare Society) will visit to help us learn about how we can be good pet owners as we explore this week’s theme of “Caring for His Creations.” We will also spend some time making cat toys to donate to the shelter. HAWS will be bringing some live animals so please fill out this online waiver after you register!
Wednesday, July 22
Activity: Caring for the Earth!
Caring for the Earth with KGMB (Keep Greater Milwaukee Beautiful.) As we continue to learn about how we can care for Allah’s wonderful creation, we will learn more about recycling and how even small steps can lead to big results and do some fun projects as well.
Week 6: We Are His Ummah
Monday, July 27:
Activity: Movie Day!
It’s almost the end of summer and we are celebrating with a fun animated movie and some pizza provided by our friends at Milwaukee Classic Pizza!
Wednesday, July 29:
Activity: Fun Fair! Games, Prizes, Treats!
Congratulations to everyone who has been working hard on their Learning Logs all summer! For every log you have completed, you will receive 2 tickets for Fun Fair carnival games and activities! If you want to play more, bring some cash - this is a fundraiser for MWC. Snacks and treats will be also available for purchase.
