Ro-Suhana Hafiz is a sophomore at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, studying Political Science and a member of the Honors College. She graduated from Reynolds High School in Troutdale, Oregon, and chose to venture beyond her comfort zone by moving to Milwaukee to connect with diverse communities, including those that reflect her own lived experiences. Suhana is deeply committed to advocating for women and ensuring their voices are heard and respected. She is actively engaged in advocacy work within her community as a board member of the Muslim Student Association and as the co-founder and Vice President of the Burma’s Ethnic Student Association at UWM.

Having lived in the United States for nearly two decades, Suhana is passionate about building meaningful connections, creating inclusive and impactful spaces, and representing her identity through her faith, culture, and ethnic background. She is honored to contribute to the Muslim Women’s Coalition’s mission of uplifting women, children, and underserved communities. She hopes to one day work with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and continue this work on a global scale, made possible through the support of the MWC, her parents, and God.
