Born in Pakistan to a family that appreciated the arts, I always knew creativity would be part of my life’s work. After learning calligraphy from masters in Pakistan, I moved to the US in 2010. Due to my husband’s medical career, the moves continued until we finally arrived in Milwaukee, where I have found one of the warmest and most active Muslim communities. Here, I volunteered to teach classes at MWC and ISM-Brookfield. These resonated with the community, and I now also give calligraphy classes in my home studio in Pewaukee.

I have also been fortunate to display my work across the country and online, which has led to several awards. My canvases and studio work include Arabic calligraphy and Islamic architecture/geometry. I hope to add an artistic perspective to the MWC organization.
