Born and raised in Wisconsin, Hadiyyah's dedication to the community is influenced by her roots. Her maternal grandparents were one of the few Muslim families in Milwaukee in the 1960s- one of the 1st African American Muslim families. Jumu'ah prayer was held in her grandparents' apartment living room and they later collaborated to open the masjid, currently, Islamic Society of Milwaukee.
Hadiyyah's professional career spans almost two decades in Corporate Human Resources and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI). She now helps Muslims maintain their Islam, Identity and Integrity at school and in the workplace as a Life & Career Coach. As an advocate for religious rights, she has successfully established permanent prayer rooms at multiple institutions, is a national speaker, hosts events, trains organizations on inclusiveness, and advises students and professionals on life and career aspirations. Hadiyyah is also the CEO + Founder of FAJR FLAIR, a women’s personal development company which encourages women of faith to know and love who they are, authentically and holistically.
