Gianna Rupnick is honored to contribute her time and abilities to the Muslim Women’s Coalition. Born and raised in Milwaukee, she comes from a richly mixed cultural and religious background. After years of theological study and reflection, Gianna chose to embrace Islam; a journey shaped by careful inquiry, lived experience, and the guidance of compassion. Throughout that path, she witnessed the Muslim Women’s Coalition as both a pillar and a beacon within the community, and she credits the greater Milwaukee Muslim community, along with her Muslim relatives and friends, for drawing her toward the faith through their integrity, discipline, and virtue. Coming from an interfaith family, she deeply appreciates MWC’s commitment to interfaith engagement, holding the belief that if one is not a sibling in faith, they are a sibling in humanity.

Gianna earned her Bachelor’s degree in History from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, with minors in Arabic and Portuguese. A devoted lover of beauty and virtue, she currently studies part-time at an Islamic seminary while pursuing writing, reading novels, creating art, and nurturing time with loved ones. She is also an avid traveler who delights in exploring the world alongside her family. Gianna is grateful to serve within an organization that is a wellspring of knowledge, reaches people across diverse walks of life, and works intentionally to reclaim and reshape the narrative surrounding Muslim women and Islam.
